Hello, this page gives an overview of our new premises – completed in 1997. Our old buildings were ill suited to Worshipping our Lord, and serving the community in the way that we felt the Lord was leading us.
We are pleased to be able to say that all of our downstairs rooms are accessible to the disabled. We now have user friendly ramps to all entrances, and disabled toilet facilities. Also all of our downstairs rooms have no steps.
It was decided that it was important to have a new Sanctuary for the Worship of God. This is purpose built with a raised front platform. We have a Baptistry pool in the centre of the room which is opened up and filled with warm water when baptismal services are held. The sanctuary also has a top quality sound system supporting radio mikes, this includes an induction loop system for those who use hearing aids. The Service in the sanctuary can also be relayed to the Foyer and Hall speakers.
We have ramps and wheelchair friendly floors to all of our ground floor areas. We also have two disabled toilet facilities, and also baby changing facilities.

Supporting the work of our church there is a vestry for our Minister and a fully operational church office.
The main hall is used for many functions ranging from Parent and Toddler groups to boys club, badminton, sales, prayer meetings, receptions etc. It is self contained with access to the kitchen. There are also toilet facilities that include fittings for the disabled, and nappy changing.
The Foyer is a general purpose meeting place for those using our facilities. It can also be used for small meetings (up to about 30 people). Beyond the foyer is a small rest area with toilets off of it, these toilets also provide for the disabled, and nappy changing facilities.

Between the foyer and the hall is our fully fitted kitchen. This meets all the relevant health and safety standards and has hatches that enable it to serve either or both the foyer and hall.
There are also upstairs rooms including a large room (upstairs foyer) over the entrance foyer downstairs. these can be used by small to medium sized groups as meeting rooms. We have kitchen and toilet facilities adjacent to these upstairs rooms.
These rooms were built to the glory of God and for worshipping Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Through that ministry we also wish to serve the community we are a part of. Please note, that due to our insurance we are not allowed to have or consume alcohol on our premises.
Please note, we have had easy access ramps built, so that all can enter our buildings at all of our entrances without having to use steps. Especially useful for pushchair and wheelchair users, and also the infirm.
We are very grateful to a several charities who helped with the finance. Reading Borough Council gave a generous grant towards the ramps.
